Oriental Vehicle Exports primarily conducts its export business through FOB
or CIF.
CIF
(Cost/Insurance/Freight)
This is a comprehensive deal term which
includes the following:
A. Price of the goods (vehicle)
B.
Japan-side costs (in-land transportation, customs, etc.)
C. Marine
insurance (cost depends on the car value)
D. Ocean freight (costs
shipping companies quote to ship the goods)
FOB (Free On Board)
In this deal term, you
pay the ocean freight to the destination port shipping agent. This largely
depends on the shipping agent & destination ports and may not be acceptable.
This deal term only includes the following:
A. Price of the goods
(vehicle)
B. Japan-side costs (in-land transportation, customs,
etc.)
Shipping
As soon as a
vehicle is purchased and a 50% deposit is received, Oriental Vehicle
Exports will arrange for shipping. Consignee, notified party and document
delivery information must be correct at this point to avoid delays in shipment
or extra charges.
Documentation
Changes
Any changes to documentation AFTER shipping will be charged at
a rate of 10,000 yen per BL change. Oriental Vehicle Exports accepts no
liability for incorrect information supplied by the customer.
Port Charges
Oriental Vehicle Exports will
not be liable for any extra port fees or storage costs charged to customers
because of BL delays due to slow payment. Please pay your bills promptly so that
documentation etc. can arrive in time to clear the vehicle from the
port.
Shipping delays
Please
note that shipping schedules, changes, cancellations, etc. made by shipping
companies are totally out of our control. Oriental Vehicle Exports will book
your vehicle(s) for shipment as soon as we have a 50% deposit however, space is
sometimes tight. Depending on the destination, some larger vehicles can have
significant delays in shipping because of the limited space.
Payments
No shipping or registration
documents will be sent until full payment is received. Oriental Vehicle
Exports accepts payments by telegraphic transfer only. All bank fees will be
payable by you. Japan side bank fees will be deducted from all payments
received. (Approx. 2500 yen per transfer).
Currencies
For T.T. Oriental Vehicle
Exports accepts U.S. Dollar and Japanese Yen however, all currencies transferred
other than the Japanese yen will be converted to Japanese Yen by our bank
against the exchange rate current on the day the money is received. Oriental
Vehicle Exports can not be responsible for currency exchange
losses.
Claims
Vehicle parts subjected to wear from day-to-day normal driving (such as brake pads, batteries, tires, oil quality, shocks, odometer etc.) are excluded any form of claim. Theft of parts which obviously occured in transit overseas or within customs/port storage facilities is also excluded
